AJ Bownas
Project Manager
AJ joined the Hill Group in the fall of 2003 and quickly progressed through the company from Assistant Conference Manager, to Account Manager, to his current position as Project Manger; overseeing all projects with several diverse clients. An import from England, AJ graduated from the University of Manchester with a B.A. Honors degree in History and Social Sciences.
He has enjoyed the opportunity to visit much of the U.S. through the various conferences and projects organized by the Hill Group, and proudly claims to have notched up 30 states. AJ previously worked as a regional manager for a Virginia-based soccer coaching organization, developing and promoting youth soccer programs. AJ continues to be active in the soccer community in his spare time, coaching youth teams as well as playing and being Manager of the British Embassy's soccer team.
Professionally, AJ successfully attained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) status in summer 2007, and is now studying to become a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). AJ is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) and also the Project Management Institute (PMI).
